Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist – Radiographer to join our Radiology Department in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality imaging results.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays, radiographs) as per physicians' orders.

  • Ensure proper positioning and follow safety protocols to minimize patient discomfort and radiation exposure.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation and storage of all images.

  • Assist in preparing patients for radiographic procedures and gather relevant patient history for optimal imaging results.

  • Ensure radiographic equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions or technical issues.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care and effective communication.

  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, including infection control and radiation protection standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a General Radiographer, demonstrating proficiency in imaging techniques.

  • Strong understanding of radiologic technology and patient care standards.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective interaction with patients and staff.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
