Job Title: MRI Technologist Specialist

Duties:

1. Operates MRI machinery and performs high-quality imaging studies, ensuring diagnostic accuracy.
2. Prepares patients for scans by ensuring proper positioning and comfort during the procedure.
3. Administers contrast agents and follows safety protocols to minimize risk.
4. Reviews MRI images and ensures they meet quality standards before being sent to PACS.
5. Assists physicians with image-guided procedures and offers technical support during procedures.
6. Maintains the MRI equipment, performing regular safety checks and troubleshooting when needed.
7. Ensures cleanliness and sterilization of the MRI suite and equipment.
8. Reviews patient history and documentation to ensure accurate scanning and patient safety.
9. Provides patient education regarding the MRI process, addressing concerns and explaining procedures.
10. Assists in maintaining accurate patient records in the RIS.

Skills:

• Experience with MRI equipment, image quality assessment, and patient care.
• Ability to work with various types of MRI systems and perform diagnostic tests.

Education & Certifications:

• ARRT certification in MRI required.
• New York State MRI license required.
• BLS certification.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,500 - $4,100
