MRI Imaging Specialist - NYCRAD

Job Title: MRI Imaging Specialist

Duties:

1. Operates MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnosis, following established protocols.
2. Prepares patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and positioning them properly.
3. Administers contrast agents as needed, following physician orders and ensuring patient safety.
4. Reviews images for diagnostic quality and reports any issues to the physician.
5. Collaborates with the radiology team to maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting.
6. Maintains and troubleshoots MRI equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
7. Provides patient education regarding MRI procedures and addresses any concerns.
8. Ensures MRI room and equipment cleanliness, adhering to infection control protocols.
9. Enters patient data into the RIS and ensures the timely transfer of images to PACS.
10. Assists with the training and development of junior staff and participates in department meetings.

Skills:

• 1+ year of MRI experience with expertise in operating MRI equipment.
• Knowledge of MRI safety procedures and contrast administration.

Education & Certifications:

• Current certification and registration in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,400 - $4,000
