MRI Specialist - NYCRAD

Job Title: MRI Specialist

Duties:

1. Conducts MRI imaging procedures and captures high-quality images according to clinical protocols.
2. Positions patients and adjusts equipment to optimize diagnostic results.
3. Ensures that patient safety and comfort are prioritized during MRI procedures.
4. Administers contrast agents as needed and monitors for adverse reactions.
5. Performs regular equipment checks and maintains MRI machines to ensure proper function.
6. Reviews and processes images, ensuring they meet diagnostic quality standards before sending to PACS.
7. Provides patient education about the MRI procedure and addresses concerns.
8. Maintains accurate records in the RIS, including scheduling and tracking imaging procedures.
9. Follows infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe MRI suite.
10. Collaborates with radiologists to ensure timely and accurate imaging results.

Skills:

• Skilled in operating MRI machines and capturing diagnostic-quality images.
• Expertise in contrast media administration and patient care.
• Knowledgeable in using RIS and PACS systems.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• NYS licensure in Radiography and certified for contrast media administration.
• ARRT certification in MRI.
• BLS certification required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,150 - $3,800
