Job Title: MRI Radiologic Technologist

Duties:

1. Operates MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients.
2. Prepares patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
3. Administers contrast media following physician orders and maintaining patient safety.
4. Assists in maintaining MRI equipment and troubleshoots any technical issues as they arise.
5. Follows safety protocols to ensure minimal radiation exposure to patients and staff.
6. Reviews and verifies images for diagnostic quality before transmitting to PACS.
7. Coordinates with the medical team to schedule MRI exams and ensure timely results.
8. Enters patient information and imaging data into the RIS for accurate documentation.
9. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the MRI suite, ensuring a safe environment for patients.
10. Participates in continuous professional development and training on MRI advancements.

Skills:

• Proficient in MRI imaging, patient positioning, and safety protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot MRI equipment and ensure optimal performance.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration with medical teams.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• NYS licensure in Radiography and certification to inject contrast media.
• ARRT MRI certification.
• BLS certification required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,100 - $3,700
