MRI Technologist II - NYCRAD

Job Title: MRI Technologist II

Duties:

1. Executes routine and advanced MRI procedures following standard protocols.
2. Prepares MRI suites and ensures all equipment is functioning properly.
3. Guides patients through MRI safety protocols and positions them accurately for imaging.
4. Assists in administering contrast agents under supervision as required.
5. Evaluates image quality and ensures timely submission to PACS for interpretation.
6. Keeps detailed records in the RIS system for all imaging activities.
7. Performs regular maintenance and troubleshooting of MRI equipment.
8. Ensures adherence to infection control and radiation safety guidelines.
9. Educates patients about the imaging process and addresses their concerns.
10. Participates in ongoing professional development and in-service training.

Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in MRI imaging and patient care.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and quality assurance procedures.

Education & Certifications:

• Completion of a J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• NY State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.).
• ARRT MRI Certification.
• BLS Certification required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,050 - $3,700
