Job Title: Certified MRI Imaging Specialist

Duties:

1. Performs MRI scans while ensuring diagnostic-quality imaging and patient safety.
2. Reviews MRI safety forms and clears patients for the scanning process.
3. Positions patients and adjusts MRI equipment for specific imaging protocols.
4. Provides patient education regarding the procedure and expected outcomes.
5. Conducts daily quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and imaging coils.
6. Administers contrast media under aseptic techniques as per physician instructions.
7. Ensures proper documentation and labeling of all images and patient records.
8. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of MRI rooms and equipment.
9. Collaborates with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver optimal patient care.
10. Monitors the Radiology Information System (RIS) to ensure accurate scheduling and data entry.

Skills:

• Proficient in MRI imaging and contrast media administration.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and equipment maintenance.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• NY State L.R.T. License with IV Certification.
• ARRT MRI Certification.
• BLS Certification required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,100 - $3,800
