Geriatric Nutrition Specialist
Responsibilities: As a Geriatric Nutrition Specialist, you will work with elderly patients to address their unique nutritional needs, focusing on preventing malnutrition and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. You will assess individual dietary requirements, create tailored meal plans, and educate patients and their families on age-appropriate nutrition strategies. You will also collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor patient progress and modify plans as necessary.
Required Skills: Expertise in geriatric nutrition, patient education, attention to detail, and the ability to assess and modify nutrition care plans for elderly individuals.
Qualifications: RD/RDN, specialized training or experience in geriatric nutrition, and state licensure.
