Cytopathology Specialist - NYCRAD

Job Title: Cytopathology Specialist

Duties:

• Perform detailed microscopic analysis of cytology specimens, including pap smears and biopsies.
• Identify abnormalities and provide preliminary diagnoses.
• Screen fine needle aspiration slides and document findings.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory quality control procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and manage workflow efficiently.
• Assist pathologists with diagnostic procedures and case reviews.
• Participate in continuing education to stay updated on cytology advancements.

Skills:

• Experience with imaging systems such as Hologic is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and technical skills in cytopathology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a lab setting.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
• NYSED Cytotechnologist license required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $2,850 - $3,500
