Senior Cytotechnologist - Contract - NYCRAD

Job Title: Senior Cytotechnologist - Contract

Duties:

• Conduct microscopic examination and evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
• Screen cytology slides, including fine needle aspirations, to identify abnormal cells.
• Ensure proper handling, preparation, and labeling of all cytopathology specimens.
• Document findings and prepare detailed reports for pathologist review.
• Perform quality control measures and participate in ongoing training programs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Utilize specialized imaging systems for diagnostic assessments.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and accurate results.

Skills:

• 1+ year of experience as a Cytotechnologist.
• Proficiency with Hologic imaging systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess cytological abnormalities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
• Valid Cytotechnologist license issued by NYSED.
• BLS certification preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $2,800 - $3,500
