Job Title: Vascular Ultrasound Technologist - Contract

Job Summary:
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating vascular conditions. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and comfort while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive and targeted vascular ultrasound scans as per physician orders and established protocols.
• Analyze patient information, physician interpretations, and study requisitions to ensure appropriate imaging is conducted.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring functionality and quality imaging.
• Capture and transfer high-quality images to the PACS system and verify diagnostic quality before releasing patients.
• Provide patient education on procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety during exams.
• Assist with interventional procedures under the guidance of a radiologist or vascular specialist.
• Maintain accurate records of performed procedures and ensure proper documentation in patient files.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs, including routine equipment maintenance and reporting technical issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control standards.

Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
• Proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.

Education and Certification:

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound program with clinical training.
• ARDMS or CCI certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $2,300 - $3,000
• Monthly: $9,200 - $12,000
