Surgical Room Specialist - NYCTECH

Job Title: Surgical Room Specialist

Duties:

• Prepare the operating room for procedures by assembling equipment and instruments.
• Assist the surgical team by providing sterile tools and supplies.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens for analysis.
• Maintain a sterile environment, taking corrective action when necessary.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and application of post-surgical dressings.
• Maintain and restock surgical supplies and equipment.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile field maintenance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education:

• Certification in Operating Room Technology required.
• Experience in an operating room setting preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $1,800 - $2,450
• Monthly: $7,200 - $9,800
