School Wellness Nurse
Pay: Total stipend of $118,000 annually
Qualifications:
School Nurse Certification or Registered Nurse with experience in a school setting
Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations
Current CPR certification
Required criminal background check and proof of U.S. residency
Performance Responsibilities:
Provides first aid and emergency care to students throughout the school day.
Conducts health screenings, including annual hearing and vision checks and scoliosis screenings.
Assists in developing and implementing school-wide wellness programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles for students and staff.
Maintains detailed health records for students, including documenting all medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care.
Manages the collection of immunization records and ensures compliance with state and district health regulations.
Provides consultations to parents and guardians regarding student health issues and follows up on referrals.
Works closely with the school administration to ensure a safe and healthy school environment, including making recommendations for improvements based on observed health trends.
