Cardiac Sonographer Specialist - NYCTECH

Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

Duties:

• Perform m-mode, 2-D, Doppler, and color Doppler echocardiograms, as well as contrast and stress echocardiograms.
• Complete worksheets and necessary calculations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment, keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked.
• Educate patients on the procedures and address any concerns they may have.
• Provide training to students and fellows and participate in continuing education for professional growth.
• Document all exams in patient records and comply with clinical standards of care for adult and geriatric patients.

Skills Required:

• Current registry status required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echocardiographer preferred.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and patient transfer.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English communication for effective documentation and patient interaction.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $2,000 - $2,500
• Monthly: $8,000 - $10,000
