Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Ithaca, NY

Shift Information:

• Shift: Day

• Shifts per Week: 5

• Hours per Shift: 8 (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• No weekends or on-call requirements

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate will have expertise in administering injections and infusion therapy, including mediport access and IV insertion.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New York State (required)

• Minimum of 2 years of infusion experience (required)

• BLS certification (required)

• Proficiency in:

  • Mediport access

  • IV insertion

  • Subcutaneous and intramuscular injections

• Previous travel nursing experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer IV infusions, injections, and other prescribed treatments following safety protocols

• Access mediports and establish IV lines efficiently

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide supportive care as needed

• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care

• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care

• Adhere to infection control and infusion safety protocols
