Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. This role requires nurses who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, providing exceptional care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, including stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases. The ideal candidate must be proficient in rapid patient assessment, prioritization, and intervention in a high-volume setting.
Rapidly assess and prioritize patients with diverse emergency medical conditions.
Provide critical care for stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients in alignment with evidence-based practices.
Administer medications, perform life-saving interventions, and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document assessments, treatments, and interventions accurately and efficiently.
Float within the Emergency Department to Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and Intermediate Care (IMC) as required.
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of ED nursing experience – Required
Strong experience with stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients – Required
Must be able to function effectively in a high-volume ED, handling up to 220 patients per day and up to 20 stroke cases per shift.
Certifications & Licenses:
Active NJ State RN License or Multi-State Compact License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS (AHA) – Required
PALS (AHA) – Required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required
Telemetry Certification – Required
CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) – Required
Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
Hours per week: 36 hours
Days per week: 3 days
