We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. The ideal candidate must be prepared to handle a fast-paced environment and provide specialized care for patients in critical and emergency situations. This role requires strong clinical expertise, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to manage a variety of trauma cases across all age groups.
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on their medical conditions and urgency.
Provide emergency medical care, following best practices and hospital protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to stabilize patients and initiate treatment plans.
Perform diagnostic procedures, administer medications, and conduct life-saving interventions.
Monitor patients’ conditions and document care accurately.
Effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Maintain competency in managing trauma situations and critical care interventions.
Experience:
Minimum 18 months of ED nursing experience – Required
Recent ED experience within the past six months – Required
Strong clinical knowledge and ability to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Certifications & Licenses:
Active NJ State RN License or Multi-State Compact License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS (AHA) – Required
PALS (AHA) – Required
Telemetry Certification or Competency Exam – Required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required
CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) – Required
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per week: 36 hours
Days per week: 3 days
