Job Title: Acute Care Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Healthcare Facilities Across NJ, NY & Upstate NY

Job Summary:

The Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in managing patients with acute medical conditions during the night shift. The RN will monitor patient responses to treatment, provide medication administration, and work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient health status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and other prescribed treatments.
• Provide bedside care, including wound management, tracheostomy care, and post-surgical monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and escalate care as necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in electronic health systems.
• Assist in rapid response situations and emergency interventions.
• Support patients and families by providing health education and discharge planning guidance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting within a major acute care hospital.
• Proficiency in emergency response protocols and handling high-acuity patients.

Education & Licensure:

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Work Schedule:

• Location: Healthcare facilities across New Jersey
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift Availability: Night Shift
• Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call
