Position: Pharmacist

Location: Gastonia, NC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $65 – $70 per hour

Schedule:

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
• Every other weekend required

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Pharmacist for a travel contract position at a leading healthcare facility in Gastonia, NC. This role requires at least one year of Emergency Department pharmacy experience and a strong understanding of medication protocols, quality standards, and emergency care environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Prepare, dispense, and verify medications in accordance with hospital guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Maintain expertise in pharmacy procedures, terminology, and compliance standards.
• Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations to ensure safe and effective medication management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacy License (in good standing) – Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution – Required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree – Preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department pharmacy experience – Required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications – Required
