Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks + High Possibility of Extension

Role and Responsibilities

Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses (RNs) must be prepared to provide care for patients in urgent and critical situations. ED RNs should be skilled in handling a wide range of emergency scenarios for patients across all age groups. The role demands quick and accurate assessments, prioritization of injuries, and rapid response to physical and mental health emergencies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized and innovative emergency care services.
• Handling various trauma situations requiring swift and decisive action.
• Assessing and prioritizing patients based on their medical conditions.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Strong expertise in Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patient care.
• Ability to manage up to 20 stroke patients per shift.
• Float requirements: Must be willing to float within the department, including ED Adult, Pediatrics, and IMC.

Certifications (Required Prior to Start)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA
• Active RN License
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
