Job Title: Transportation Associate
Duration: 3+ Months
Location: Springdale, AR

Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 3 or 4 days a week (Wednesday – Friday and every other Saturday)

Job Description:

This entry-level management position is an opportunity to learn all aspects of fleet operations. Working alongside an experienced supervisor, the Transportation Associate will gain the necessary skills and training for success within fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee dispatch operations, ensuring fleet trucks operate efficiently.
• Coordinate with drivers to cover unassigned loads.
• Monitor loads to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues.
• Manage driver safety and compliance.
• Work across multiple transportation departments, including load planning, shuttle, and regional operations, to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business.
• Serve as weekend night/daytime dispatch as needed.

Requirements:

• 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience (not customer service experience in the transportation field).
• Ability to work a varying schedule based on operational needs.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong computer skills, including email, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn and lead teams effectively.
