Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Operating Room (OR). The RN will assist surgeons, monitor patients, and ensure adherence to surgical protocols.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure proper sterile techniques.
Assist surgeons during procedures, providing instruments and supplies.
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies.
Document patient care in compliance with professional standards.
Collaborate with surgical teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an Operating Room setting in a major acute care hospital.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
Education & Licensure:
Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Work Schedule:
Location: Healthcare facilities across New Jersey
Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Availability: Rotational Shift
Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call
