Job Title: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse - Day Shift 

Job Summary: 
The MS/TELE Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs while adhering to professional standards and evidence-based practices. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients. 
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans based on patient needs, physician diagnoses, and health status. 
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care efficiently. 
• Document care in alignment with professional standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. 
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support care innovations. 
• Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with the nursing practice model. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital. 
• Strong background in MS/Tele. 

Education & Licensure: 

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN). 
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). 
• Required Certifications & Licensure:
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) 
• Telemetry Certification 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) 
• Continuing Education Units (CEU) Contact Stroke (4 Hours) 
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license 

Work Schedule: 

• Location: Healthcare facilities across NJ, NY (Upstate & NYC)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) 
• Duration: 13 Weeks 
• Shift Availability: Day Shift 
• Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call
