Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in the Cath Lab.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care according to standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• Required:

  • Must have Cath Lab experience.
  • Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN, responsible for documentation, medication administration, and circulator duties for minimally invasive procedures such as Left Heart Catheterization (LHC) and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).
  • Experience with Cath Lab equipment such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, Shockwave, and various atherectomy devices.
  • Willingness to cover on-call shifts, including off-hours and weekends for cardiac procedures.

• Preferred:

  • Experience in vascular and/or neuro diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Education Requirements:

• Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
  • Active RN license in New Jersey or multi-state compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA.
  • Telemetry certification.

Work Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Days Per Week: 3
