Title: Clinical Dental Hygienist

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program
• Current NYS license/registration as a Dental Hygienist
• Minimum of two years of experience in dental hygiene
• Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support required by time of appointment
• Strong understanding of periodontal therapy and preventive care

Duties:

• Greet and seat patients while reviewing medical and dental histories
• Perform prophylaxis cleanings, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications
• Take and process dental x-rays as required
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• If certified, administer local anesthesia and monitor nitrous oxide for anxiety management
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with dental providers

Pay:
High weekly pay range: $2,000 - $2,500
