Registered Nurse – Eye Care Minor Treatment Nurse

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in ophthalmology or outpatient care.
• BLS certification required; Ophthalmic Nurse Certification preferred.
• Experience in eye procedures, vision screening, and post-operative care.

Duties:

• Provide minor treatment care for patients with eye injuries and conditions.
• Assist in eye irrigation, foreign body removal, and minor surgical procedures.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and anesthetic drops.
• Educate patients on eye care, post-surgical recovery, and vision health.
• Monitor for complications such as infections or increased intraocular pressure.
• Work closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists.
• Maintain compliance with eye care protocols and sterile techniques.
