Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Geriatrics Nurse

Qualifications:

Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in geriatric and medical-surgical care.
Geriatric Nursing Certification (RN-BC) preferred.
BLS and ACLS certification required.

Duties:

Provide specialized care for elderly patients with chronic conditions and mobility challenges.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care for geriatric patients.
Assist with fall prevention, mobility training, and rehabilitation therapies.
Monitor for cognitive decline, dehydration, and medication side effects.
Educate families on long-term care planning and chronic disease management.
Work with geriatricians, social workers, and rehabilitation specialists.
Maintain compliance with geriatric care best practices and patient safety measures.
