Registered Nurse – Pediatric Behavioral Health Emergency Nurse

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in pediatric emergency, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
• PALS and BLS certification required.
• Experience with de-escalation techniques and psychiatric emergency interventions.

Duties:

• Provide emergency care for pediatric patients experiencing behavioral health crises.
• Assess and manage patients with acute mental health conditions, including suicidal ideation.
• Administer psychiatric medications and provide crisis stabilization.
• Work closely with pediatric mental health professionals and social workers for treatment planning.
• Utilize child-friendly de-escalation techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Educate families on mental health resources, crisis intervention, and follow-up care.
• Maintain compliance with pediatric behavioral health emergency policies and procedures.
