Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology Nurse
Qualifications:
Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or procedural nursing.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Experience in monitoring patients under moderate sedation and managing post-procedure recovery.
Knowledge of contrast media reactions and catheter-based interventions.
Duties:
Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and sedation levels throughout procedures.
Assist radiologists with procedures such as biopsies, catheter placements, and angioplasties.
Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-procedure care.
Recognize and manage complications such as contrast reactions and bleeding.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with imaging safety protocols.
Collaborate with radiology technicians and anesthesiologists for seamless patient care.
