Description:

The RN Cardiovascular Recovery Nurse is responsible for the immediate recovery of patients post-cardiac surgery. This includes monitoring vitals, managing medications, and using advanced equipment like Impella and ECMO to ensure patient stability. The nurse will also assist with educating patients and families on the recovery process and ensure that all follow-up care is coordinated.

Mandatory Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 3+ years of experience in cardiovascular recovery or ICU nursing.
• Knowledge of post-cardiac surgery recovery, including use of chest tubes, Swan-Ganz catheters, and temporary pacing wires.
• Proficiency in using ECMO, Impella, and IABP devices.
• Strong patient monitoring and intervention skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for post-operative care.
