Perioperative Technician - NYCTECH

Job Title: Perioperative Technician

Duties:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Support surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other required materials.
• Monitor aseptic practices and report contamination risks promptly.
• Manage and document surgical counts in coordination with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and transfer for testing.
• Perform post-surgical cleaning and equipment sterilization.
• Aid in patient positioning and ensure proper application of surgical dressings.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and adapt to changing environments.

Education:

• Certification in Operating Room Technology preferred.
• Experience in perioperative care is a plus.
