Title: Bioprocess Associate Scientist

Location: West Point, PA 19486

Duration: 12 Months

 Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or ChemicalEngineering
• For a B.S. degree, at least two years of post-graduate experience in a bioprocess/biotechnology-related position
• Shift hours primarily 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for 20% of days extending beyond typical hours
• Must have scientific understanding of downstream bioprocess purification processes
• Strong knowledge of purification operations for large complex molecules
• Technical understanding of bioprocess scaling principles

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute process development experiments to enhance understanding of downstream unit operations both individually and in team settings
• Analyze, summarize, and present experimental results in a collaborative team environment
• Conduct lab work in compliance with company expectations for data integrity and safety
• Write, review, and improve procedures for equipment and process operations
• Perform technical investigations and address findings
• Learn and apply new processes and procedures
