Job Title: System Administrator

Location: NYC, NY 

Mandatory Requirements:

• Location: Must work onsite in the NYC area and be able to commute or relocate.
• Experience: Prior experience working with NYC agencies is required.

Project Description:

This position supports the Critical Infrastructure initiative, focusing on the design, installation, customization, testing, and implementation of enhancements to the organization's Network and Data Center infrastructure. These updates are vital to maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, IDS, IPS, proxy servers, and related security components across Data Centers, remote sites, and external entities.

Tasks & Duties:

• VM and HP Blade Server Infrastructure:

  • Design and support virtual machine and HP Blade Server infrastructure.
  • Develop and support robust solutions aligned with system best practices and specifications for hardware, systems, and virtual network configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to plan, enhance, and implement virtual infrastructure solutions.
  • Test VMware virtual machines and HP Blade Server platforms, integrating system modules and maintaining best practices.
  • Perform server provisioning, performance analysis, and hardware compatibility assessments.

• System Documentation Development:

  • Create operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, networks, security, storage, and software.
  • Develop detailed system operation designs, guidelines, and upgrade techniques for hardware infrastructure, operating systems, hypervisors, network systems, and security.
  • Design reports, audit trails/logs, and performance metrics.

Required Skills:

• 4+ Years Latest Citrix Certification (CCA or CCEA).
• 4+ Years Scripting and PowerShell development experience.
• 4+ Years Windows Server installation and support experience.
• 4+ Years XenServer installation and support experience.
• 4+ Years XenDesktop installation and support experience.
• 4+ Years VMware vSphere experience.
• 4+ Years Configuring HP Server Hardware experience.

Desired Skills:

• 2+ Years Experience in .NET development using C#.
• 2+ Years Experience in NetApp SAN Management.
• 2+ Years Experience with VMware VROPS, VMware VRA, Azure Cloud, Hyper-V, and AWS Cloud.
