Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: NYC, NY

Mandatory Requirements:

• Location: Must work in the NYC area (onsite position requires the applicant to commute or transfer to NYC).
• Experience: Must have prior working experience with NYC agencies.

Project Description:

This project involves providing full systems life cycle application development on various computer platforms. These platforms support critical functions such as client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, and more. Periodic refinements are required to maintain applications at optimum service levels. This role supports the IT consulting needs of an expanding workload and ensures the project portfolio aligns with business requirements.

Tasks & Duties:

Coordinate Testing of Applications:

• Develop test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate quality assurance (QA) testing and acceptance between QA staff, developers, and stakeholders.
• Implement IT quality assurance standards.

Develop Business and Technical Requirements:

• Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements as needed.
• Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality.
• Review requirements with stakeholders for approval.

Provide Management Reporting and Information Dissemination:

• Analyze and document current systems and processes as implemented.
• Make recommendations for process and system improvements based on client feedback.
• Work directly with stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to ensure applications are built according to specifications and delivered on time.

Required Skills:

• 4+ Years of experience gathering business requirements, writing user stories, and conducting user acceptance testing.
• 4+ Years of experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Balsamiq, and MS Visio.
• 4+ Years of experience overseeing large project deliverables.
• 4+ Years of experience designing data models and application prototypes.
