Job Title: Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85012
Duration: 2 Years + (Extendable)
Shift: Mon - Fri, 06 AM - 06 PM (3 x 12-hour shifts/Day shift, Every Other Weekend Required)

Job Summary:

This position involves the leadership, financial management, and oversight of a multi-disciplinary Medicare-skilled nursing facility serving the long-term care and rehabilitative needs of Arizona's Veterans and members. The administrator ensures resources are efficiently utilized to achieve and maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of the facility's residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, programs, projects, policies, and procedures related to facility operations.
  • Enforce department and facility policies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and cooperative relationships with federal and state agencies, Veteran Service Organizations, and other community service groups.
  • Learn, implement, and monitor Arizona Management System (AMS) methods, utilizing AMS concepts and tools for problem-solving and continuous work/process improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Managing and directing overall activities of multiple long-term care/skilled nursing facilities.
  • Interpretation and application of rules and regulations for long-term care/skilled nursing operations.
  • Development of policies and procedures.
  • Nursing home administration principles and practices.
  • Federal and State laws governing the operations of long-term care/skilled nursing facilities.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in administering skilled nursing facilities.
  • Valid Arizona Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator license.
  • Current TB Test.
  • Active license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator in Arizona.
  • Valid driver’s license and frequent in-state travel required.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
