Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601

Duration: 13 weeks with every other weekend required. Holidays required. No on-call shifts.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Oncology is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing cancer treatments. The RN evaluates patient conditions, assists physicians, and implements individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans through ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care effectively.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support the adoption of innovative care delivery methods.
• Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing standards.
• Manage and document care following established standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Deliver patient-centric care in alignment with oncology nursing models.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute adult oncology nursing.
• Med-Surg experience is also acceptable.

Education Requirements

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licenses

Required:

• BLS (AHA).
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact License.
• ONS Chemo/Biotherapy Certification.

Preferred:

• Telemetry Certification.

Languages

• English (Speak, Read, Write).

Schedule

• Hours per Week: 36.
• Hours per Day: 12.
• Days per Week: 3.
• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
