Job Description: 

• We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment. This position involves providing care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions in a short-term acute care teaching facility. 

Key Details: 

• Patient Ratios: 

• Normal Ratios: Days/Eves 5:1, Nights 6-7:1 

• Stretch Ratios: Day/Eve 6:1 

• Support Staff: 

• PCTs handle vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. 

• Phlebotomy team performs peripheral lab draws; nursing is responsible for PICC and central lines. 

Requirements: 

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience. 

• Certifications: BLS required. 

• Tele Experience: Required. 

• First-Timers Accepted: Yes. 

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. 

• Floating: Will float within scope and like units as needed. 

• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live 50+ miles from the facility). 

• On-Call: Not required. 

• RTO: Maximum of 7 days; no holiday RTO. 

Patient Diagnoses: 

• Variety of cancers 

• Sickle cell crisis 

• Sepsis 

• Organ failure 

Special Equipment: 

• CADD pump 

• SCD pump 

• Wound vac 

• Tube feeding pump 

Hospital Highlights: 

• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, teaching hospital. 

• Total Staffed Beds: 471. 

• Scrub Colors: Any combination of navy and white. 

• Charting System: Epic preferred.
