Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg CWR
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Contract Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 36
• Hours Per Day: 12
• Days Per Week: 3

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, and providing individualized nursing care to patients. The RN collaborates with physicians, advocates for evidence-based practices, and ensures care delivery aligns with clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Advocate for and support evidence-based care practices.
• Document care according to standards, clinical priorities, and patient needs.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practices.
• Float to other departments as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• Oncology Unit: At least 1+ year of oncology experience or 2+ years of med-surg experience with leukemia, lymphoma, and BMT patient care.
• Proficiency in central line care and blood product administration.
• Willingness to float to different units as needed.

Education:

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
  • NIHSS
  • BLS (AHA)
  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours)
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
