Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and manage an IT project that aligns with a customer-focused, business-driven approach to delivering IT services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team and contribute to critical and high-visibility projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, milestones, and activities, in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly status and risk reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with business leaders to maintain and update release schedules.
  • Define project objectives and align strategies with key business stakeholders.
  • Oversee multiple project activities to ensure adherence to plans and goals.
  • Deliver outcomes in line with timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers on plans, work breakdown structures, checklists, and budgets.
  • Prepare and implement supporting plans for quality control, risk management, change management, testing, and related areas.
  • Monitor project scope and manage change control processes.
  • Follow industry-recognized standards, guidelines, and best practices in project execution.
  • Resolve issues through remediation plans and effective communication with stakeholders and partners.
  • Maintain detailed reports to monitor project status and progress.
  • Adhere to established project management methodologies and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide IT projects.
  • Expertise in handling multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities and evolving timelines.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and experience with Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Proven ability to foster effective relationships with stakeholders, management, end-users, and vendors.
  • Leadership experience in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent ability to translate technical concepts into terms understandable by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and detailed project planning.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Solid understanding of government security standards and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar accreditation is highly desirable.
  • Experience in delivering AI projects is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing projects from initiation through delivery, meeting time and budget constraints.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale enterprise-wide IT projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Access and Identity Management projects.
  • Proficiency in preparing project documentation, such as requirements and status reports.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
