Title: CT Technologist - PET CT Specialist

Location: NYC, NY 10025

Duration: 3 Months

Shift Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours Per Day: 7.5

Hours Per Week: 37.5

Days Per Week: 5.0 (Monday to Friday)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
  2. Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques for quality diagnostic CT images.
  3. Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  4. Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as per physician’s orders and prescribed protocols.
  5. Document all required information in logs, manuals, and charge documents, adhering to department policies.
  6. Report equipment issues promptly to comply with regulatory standards.
  7. Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, adhering to radiation safety guidelines under the ALARA principle.
  8. Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  9. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses a day in advance and verify proper receipt and activity levels upon delivery.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Proficiency in CT procedures with attention to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
  • Ability to assess and respond appropriately to patient care requirements.
  • Knowledge and adherence to quality assurance and radiation safety protocols.

Education Requirements:

  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License
    • ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT
    • BLS Certification
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in CT, with PET CT specialization preferred.
  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.

Language Requirements:

  • English: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing.
