Job Description:

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our team. This is a remote position based in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system and application support, network security, and compliance with information security standards. The role involves implementing security measures, conducting research to identify new threats, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure the safety and integrity of IT systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify problems and issues, analyze alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Provide support for Windows and Linux operating systems and related applications.
  • Leverage expertise in network facilities, data processing, computer hardware/software, and security tools.
  • Lead calls for project kick-offs, issue notifications, and remediation reviews.
  • Prepare concise written reports and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Ensure security systems remain current with software and hardware changes.
  • Conduct proactive research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
  • Implement and maintain compliance with NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, MARS-E controls, POA&Ms, and corrective action plans.
  • Review and address security violations in collaboration with security teams.
  • Provide database support for Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in identifying and resolving technical issues, analyzing alternatives, and implementing solutions.
  • 8 years of experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems and applications.
  • 8 years of experience with network facilities, data processing, and security tools.
  • 8 years of experience in project coordination, including kick-off calls and remediation reviews.
  • 8 years of experience implementing security measures and staying updated on new threats and vulnerabilities.
  • 8 years of experience ensuring network security and performing proactive threat research.
  • 8 years of experience with NIST compliance standards, POA&Ms, and corrective action plans.
  • 8 years of experience providing database support for Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with tools like Archer GRC, Dynatrace, Splunk, Imperva Web Application Firewall, Qualys, and MS Office.
  • 5 years of experience training staff on network and information security processes.
  • 5 years of experience with ITIL methodology and ticketing systems like Remedy and ServiceNow.
