Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to oversee data center services providers and manage critical infrastructure operations in a 24/7 environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing and maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations for data centers, as well as experience in managing teams and collaborating with service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data center services providers for compute and storage, ensuring they support 24/7 environments. Manage infrastructure and operations resources effectively.
  • Set goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations in line with business needs.
  • Lead technical implementation efforts, managing the scheduling of tasks, assessing problems, and communicating updates to management. Ensure infrastructure changes are properly overseen.
  • Provide high-level technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of data center operations to support critical functions.
  • Lead, plan, and assign work for teams supporting server support, physical databases, and applications.
  • Assist the IT manager with the oversight of two data center service providers responsible for computing, security, and storage components.
  • Collaborate with data center service providers and systems architects to develop a technology roadmap and set strategic paths for infrastructure and operations.
  • Oversee environment expansion, migrations, and modernizations for storage, compute, network, and application systems. Stay current with industry trends, particularly in cloud technologies, and integrate this knowledge into internal systems.
  • Lead and manage multiple audits annually. Take charge of major operations projects, including data center hardware migrations and software upgrades.
  • Review legislative and business requirements for impact on TIERS (Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System) and participate in change control activities.
  • Review and approve operations documentation, including the security plan, disaster recovery plan, operational procedures, and monthly maintenance plan.
  • Provide technical expertise as a member of the operations management team, contributing to ecosystem changes such as new technology designs, security events, and root cause analyses of severe events.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing data center services providers for compute and storage in 24/7 environments.
  • At least 8 years of experience establishing goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations.
  • Strong technical implementation experience, including problem assessment, scheduling, and managing infrastructure changes.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center operations and a comprehensive understanding of supporting critical functions.
  • Proven experience leading and managing server support, physical database, and application teams.
  • Experience working closely with data center service providers and systems architects to develop technology roadmaps and strategies.
  • Proven expertise in overseeing environment expansion, migrations, and modernizations for storage, compute, network, and application systems.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends, particularly regarding cloud technologies, and apply this knowledge to internal systems.
  • Experience managing audits and leading major operations projects, including hardware and software upgrades.
  • Ability to review and approve critical operations documentation, including security plans, disaster recovery plans, operational procedures, and maintenance plans.
  • Experience in providing technical expertise and contributing to the analysis of security events and root cause analysis of severe events.
  • Proven experience with 24/7 on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with DevOps and DevOps tools.
  • 4 years of experience delivering technical training in cloud-based technologies.
  • 4 years of experience with ITIL and ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
  • 3 years of experience managing Archer GRC.
