Job Description:

  • QA Automation Engineers will design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate the functionality and quality of web-based J2EE/Portal applications. This includes analyzing requirements, creating execution plans, and preparing technical documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration within Agile methodologies to support the IT Application Team's Social Services initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Test Development & Execution:

  • Design, enhance, maintain, and execute automated and manual test plans and scenarios.
  • Use contemporary testing methods to ensure application quality and functionality.

Collaboration:

  • Participate in requirements analysis, test design, and test data preparation.
  • Work closely with development teams and end-users following Agile methodologies.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for automated processes and testing strategies.
  • Report and analyze software defects, suggesting innovative solutions.

Support:

  • Provide technical support during testing and implementation phases.
  • Contribute to walk-throughs for program design, coding, and testing.

Additional Tasks:

  • Undertake other assigned responsibilities to support project objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience Skills:

  • 8+ Years - Full SDLC experience, including Agile practices.
  • Proficiency in analyzing requirements and creating detailed test plans and scenarios.
  • Advanced understanding of software applications and defect analysis.
  • Expertise in software testing concepts, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, IT equipment, and operating systems.

Preferred Skills & Tools:

  • 3+ Years:
  • Hands-on experience with tools like UFT, Katalon, LoadRunner, SoapUI, Selenium, ALM, PPM, JIRA, and JAMA.
  • SQL and XML proficiency for interface file creation and batch execution.
  • Collaboration with varied levels of staff within Agile frameworks.

Education:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
