Shift:

  • Night Shift Every other weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Orientation shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the first day

Position Overview:

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, NY. This is a 13-week contract position, offering the opportunity to provide high-quality care to residents in a supportive and well-equipped environment. The LPN will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure each resident's physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care: Provide direct patient care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring overall comfort and safety.
  • Patient Documentation: Accurately document patient care, observations, and progress under facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed treatments, wound care, and other medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Family Communication: Maintain positive communication with residents’ families, providing updates on patient conditions and addressing concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Valid LPN license in the state of New York.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.

Licensure:

  • Must maintain a valid LPN license and BLS/CPR certification.
