Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric ED CWR
Location: Edison, NJ 08818
Hours: 36 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend, Holidays as Needed, No On-Call

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Pediatric Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for pediatric patients in urgent and emergency situations. Our fast-paced Pediatric ED handles high patient acuity, treating up to 80 patients per day. The RN will assess both physical and mental health conditions in children and prioritize care based on severity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess incoming pediatric patients and prioritize care.
• Handle trauma situations and provide emergency care.
• Communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure quality care.
• Perform nursing tasks including assessments, care planning, and administering treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 18 months of pediatric ED experience.
• Recent ED experience within the last 6 months.
• Strong clinical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Required: ASN (Associate's Degree in Nursing).
• Preferred: BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• NJ State RN license or Multi-state Compact license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• NRP, ENPC.
