Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D CWR 

Location: New Jersey (Traveler RN Role - Multiple Locations in NJ) 

Duties: 

Job Summary: 
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs, prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN will develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans through ongoing assessments. This role includes performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, ensuring accurate documentation, and advocating for evidence-based practice care standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to patient needs. 
  • Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. 
  • Develop and execute individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments. 
  • Perform assessments based on the patient’s condition, medical diagnosis, and health framework. 
  • Provide therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care. 
  • Ensure accurate documentation according to clinical priorities, patient acuity, and care standards. 
  • Advocate for evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. 
  • Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practice. 
  • Float to various units as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D). 
  • EPIC experience preferred. 
  • At least 6 months of L&D travel nurse experience required, 1 year preferred. 
  • Additional Preferred Requirements: 
  • Either AWOHNN (intermediate or advanced) or NCC in electronic fetal monitoring. 
  • Client will accept candidates who pass a basic fetal monitoring test during onboarding. 

Education: 

  • Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing). 
  • Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). 

Required Certifications & Licensure: 

  • BLS-AHA (Basic Life Support - American Heart Association). 
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. 
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). 

Preferred Certifications & Licensure: 

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). 
  • Advanced AWHONN or EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring). 

Certifications & Licenses: 

  • BLS - AHA. 
  • NRP (AHA only). 
  • RN License. 

Languages: 

  • English (Speak, Read, Write). 

Minimum Degree Required: 

  • Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO). 

Hours: 

  • 36 hours per week. 
  • 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). 
  • 3 shifts per week. 
  • Every other weekend required. 
  • Holidays as required. 
  • No on-call requirement. 

Additional Information:
