Job Summary:

• The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a Telemetry setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs and priorities. They will manage the care of patients, ensuring high standards are met, and advocate for evidence-based practices in patient care. This is a 13-week contract position with the requirement of 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend. The RN will perform therapeutic nursing interventions and provide care in alignment with professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient assessments and needs.
• Identify patient needs and establish priorities for care through assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care effectively.
• Document patient care according to established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and contribute to innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience (required).
• Strong clinical skills in assessing, planning, and implementing care in Telemetry settings.
• Ability to manage the care of patients requiring continuous monitoring and treatment.

Required Education & Certifications:

• ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) required, BSN preferred.
• BLS-AHA (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.
• Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam required.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
