Job Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Department
Location: Englewood, NJ 07601
Hours per Week: 36.00 hours
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 shifts per week

Job Summary:

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN), you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing critical services during emergencies. Our ED RNs are trained to manage patients of all ages with various trauma and medical conditions, ensuring quick and effective treatment in fast-paced situations. You will be responsible for assessing incoming patients, both physically and mentally, and prioritizing their needs in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and trauma conditions, ensuring timely and accurate treatment.
  • Assess and handle various trauma situations, making quick and effective decisions for patient care.
  • Quickly assess and prioritize patient injuries and medical needs, ensuring critical conditions are addressed immediately.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum Experience:

  • 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department (ED) environment.

Recent ED Experience:

  • Must have ED experience within the past six months.

Clinical Knowledge:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to create and implement effective nursing care plans.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the hospital team to ensure optimal care.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or a multi-state compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA.
  • Neurological Injury and Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Telemetry Certification or completion of Telemetry Competency Exam.
  • CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours (required for stroke care).
