Registered Nurse – Radiology
Overview:
The Registered Nurse in the Radiology and Imaging Department is responsible for providing nursing care to the patient undergoing a Special Procedure/Imaging procedure. This process includes assessing the needs of each assigned patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs.
Once planned, the RN II is responsible for assuring that the plan of care is carried out through his/her performance and leadership. Such services are provided while maintaining a clean and safe environment. In addition, the RN II in the Special Procedure/Imaging will have validated orientation and competency in Imaging. Provides services to all age groups. (Infant-Geriatric)
The Radiology Nurse regularly functions as a primary or relief charge nurse and is responsible for coordinating and supervising the nursing care needs of patients in the Imaging Department.
