Shift Details: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (No weekends, holidays, or on-call)
Contract Type: Full-time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our physician services team in Freehold, NJ. This role involves assisting with clinical care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals and providing essential clerical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room Preparation: Prepare exam and treatment rooms, as well as necessary supplies and instruments.
• Patient Preparation: Assist patients before physician visits and examinations.
• Vital Signs & Records: Take patient vital signs and accurately record them in the medical chart.
• Special Equipment: Operate and maintain special medical equipment properly.
• Testing Procedures: Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and lab testing as indicated, following completion of a performance evaluation checklist.
• Patient Records: Complete and maintain patient records as directed, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
• Billing Support: Assist with collections and billing procedures as necessary.
• Office Systems: Utilize computer software for office systems and record-keeping.
• Patient-Centered Communication: Identify and address specific needs of the patient population, communicating effectively based on age, culture, language, and other factors.
• Additional Duties: Carry out other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Required Experience:
  • Strong communication skills and supportive interaction with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of computerized data entry procedures.

Educational Requirements:

• Required Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Required Certifications:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • One of the following certifications:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - NHA, NCCT, or AAMA
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT or NAHP
    • AMCA, NCMA
• Preferred Certifications: N/A

Language Requirements:

• English: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
